Unlike the near by popular beaches like Sankhumugham or Veli, this beach is a calm and quite place. Kazhakoottam beach is not yet one among the crowd pulling beaches in trivandrum, but still manages to have 50- 100 people at a time during sundays.
You wont find any shops or sellers on the beach other than one or two peanut sellers.
Finally the sunset is awesome. Also you can enjoy it well since the crowd is not there.
The beach is almost 4 kilometers from technopark, still worth giving a try to walk from kazhakoottam to the beach.
To reach from kazhakoottam take Kazhakoottam - Menamkulam road and ride straight through the road until you reach the sea !!! DONT TAKE ANY DIVERSION after you start on kazhakoottam - Menamkulam road
